Meg's Specialities
Meg offers individual and relationship therapy on a range of issues including life transitions, fear and anxiety, depression and loss, and conflict. Her particular areas of expertise are relationship issues and sexual matters. She works with people of all sexual and gender identities and practices, and people in any kind of relationship set-up.
Meg also offers briefer life-coaching (including one-off double sessions) on her areas of expertise: relationship choices, building self-care into our lives, sexuality, and writing (both academic and creative). This coaching is available to anyone who wants to focus specifically on such issues, including therapists and counsellors who wish to develop their practices in these areas.
Meg is trained in existential therapy and also informed by mindfulness. She also runs a termly ten week group, which focuses on different topics each term, including life skills, self-care, and creative explorations.
Meg's Hours
Meg works at Dilemma on a Wednesday afternoon and runs her group on Wednesday evenings.
Counselling, psychotherapy, and consultancy are all activities in which the relationship between the client (or patient) and the counsellor (or therapist) is not just an important contributor to the outcome: it is the main factor in securing a good outcome.
Dilemma counsellors and psychotherapists have been personally selected for their proven ability in making and maintaining a therapeutic relationship. They will listen to your particular predicament or difficulty, discuss it with you until you are sure that they have understood it, and then involve you in a discussion about what might be done.
