Digby Tantam is a director of Dilemma Consultancy Ltd., a supervisor, and a therapist.. He is a psychotherapist, counsellor, psychologist, and psychiatrist.

He has worked in the NHS as a psychiatrist and latterly medical psychotherapist for over thirty five years, and as a University Professor for over twenty five.  He is currently Emeritus  Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Sheffield and Visiting Professor of Psychology at Middlesex University.

He is a fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, the British Psychological Society and the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.
